Trusts and Foundations Lead – South West

Full time or part time considered | £35,000-£40,000 | Flexible working arrangements with the possibility of fully remote for the right candidate.

Smyth&Co are delighted to be recruiting a Trusts and Foundations Lead for a local charity supporting survivors of violence in the South West. The charity provides a much-needed service, offering a confidential helpline, counselling, specialist 1:1 support and a range of additional services, all free of charge to those who need them.

The Trusts and Foundations Lead will drive the organisation’s Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy, generating sustainable income to support survivors of violence across Avon and Somerset. They will research prospects, manage a dynamic grants pipeline, and produce compelling funding applications and reports.

The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with the ability to research, assess and secure new prospects, and will excel in relationship management with funders. Highly organised, they will balance deadlines with stewardship and ongoing pipeline development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong internal relationships to identify funding needs and support bids and reports.
  • Support wider fundraising activities when required.
  • Manage and develop the grants pipeline, researching opportunities and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Produce high-quality, persuasive applications and proposals.
  • Steward relationships with Trusts and Foundations to maximise partnership value.
  • Deliver timely, accurate funder reports and maintain up-to-date records in coordination with finance.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected regional charity. The organisation welcomes applications from both full-time and part-time candidates and will consider a fully remote candidate.
