Mamacita Foundation is a Scottish registered non-governmental organization based in Aberdeen, dedicated to supporting the integration, inclusion, and overall well-being of new community members, including immigrants. The foundation runs regular Tuesday and Friday pop-in/food bank sessions that bring indigenous residents and newcomers together, helping to build connections and ease the integration process. Emergency food parcels are delivered on Sundays to individuals and families facing physical, mental, or social disadvantage.

Mamacita Foundation also hosts monthly meet-and-greet events, operates a CV/job clinic to support people returning to work, and manages a youth platform that offers a safe space for young people to share experiences, cope with culture shock, and participate in organized trips.

Charity Shop Volunteers help support Mamacita Foundation's community-focused initiatives by assisting with the daily operations of the charity shop on-site in Aberdeen. Volunteers may sort, price, and display donated items, maintain a clean and welcoming shop environment, and support customers in a friendly and respectful manner. They may help manage stock, arrange shop displays, operate the till or handle cash under guidance, and provide information about the foundation's services and events.

Volunteers collaborate with other team members, follow agreed procedures, and contribute to a positive, inclusive atmosphere for people from diverse backgrounds. This is a volunteer role based fully on-site in Aberdeen, with hours agreed in advance to suit both the volunteer and the organization.

• Ability to provide welcoming, respectful customer service and communicate clearly with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Basic organizational skills for sorting donations, arranging displays, and keeping records or simple inventory lists.
• Reliability in attending agreed shifts, working collaboratively with others, and following guidance from supervisors.
• Comfort with handling cash or using a till (training can be provided) and attention to detail when pricing items.
• Interest in community work, social inclusion, or charitable activities; previous volunteering or retail experience is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to learn, respect confidentiality, and uphold the foundation's values of inclusion, dignity, and non-discrimination.
