WardSkene Ward – 18 bedded, mixed sex ward for individuals with dementia at Royal Cornhill Hospital.
Job OverviewAn exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMHN) to join the team in Skene Ward as Deputy Charge Nurse. The role focuses on providing high‑quality, person‑centred care to patients admitted for assessment purposes and supporting them at varying stages of their journey.
ResponsibilitiesThe post holder will work 12‑hour shifts, primarily during the day, with occasional requirement to cover night duty. The Deputy Charge Nurse will support the Charge Nurse in managing the ward, ensuring clinical standards are maintained, and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications• Extensive post‑registration nursing experience.
• Knowledge of current challenges in dementia care and the patient group.
• Demonstrated effective leadership skills and passion for personal and service development.
Full‑time, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shift pattern.
