Senior Charge Nurse
Ward 304 or 104
36 hours per week
Are you a compassionate and motivated nursing leader with a passion for improving care for frail older adults? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Charge Nurse to lead our dedicated Frailty Team within either ward 304 or ward 104.
Ward 304 is a 14 bedded step down ward and ward 104 is due to become a new frailty ward. Due to changes within the frailty service it is not yet clear if this post will be based in ward 104 or 304, therefore interested candidates require to be willing to work in either. This is a rewarding leadership role where you will have the opportunity to influence service delivery, support staff development, and drive improvements in patient care across our frailty pathway.
As Senior Charge Nurse, you will provide visible and effective clinical and professional leadership, ensuring the delivery of safe, person-centred and high-quality care for older people with complex needs.
Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, you will lead and support a skilled nursing workforce, foster a positive team culture, and contribute to the ongoing development of frailty services. You will play a key role in quality improvement, workforce planning, patient flow, and ensuring excellent patient experiences.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational leader who:
- Is a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Has significant post-registration experience, including leadership and management responsibilities.
- Demonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Has experience of managing and developing teams within a complex healthcare environment.
- Is passionate about improving outcomes for older people living with frailty.
- Has a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and staff wellbeing.
- Can lead with compassion, integrity and professionalism.
In return we offer:
- An opportunity to lead a committed and experienced team.

- A chance to influence and shape the future of frailty care.
- A rewarding role making a real difference to patients and families.
