GREAT WESTERN MEDICAL PRACTICE, SEAFIELD ROAD, ABERDEEN AB15 7YT

Are you an experienced Practice Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and supporting people to live healthier lives?

At One Medical Group, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our team in Aberdeen on a fixed-term contract, for the next 12 months to cover MAT leave.

This is a varied primary care nursing role where you'll provide a broad range of services, including long-term condition management, health promotion, immunisations, and cervical cytology.

Working closely with our multidisciplinary teams, you'll play an important role in supporting patients to manage their health and wellbeing while contributing to the delivery of safe, effective and evidence-based care at our practice.

Why One Medical Group?

For over 20 years, One Medical Group has been redefining how healthcare is delivered in the UK. As a leading independent, family-run healthcare organisation, we provide NHS services at scale and design, build and manage the spaces where care happens, bringing everything together under one roof.

We believe the best places to work are created by people who genuinely love what they do and celebrate each other’s success. Our culture combines national ambition with genuine family heart, with a workplace rooted in trust, empowerment and collaboration.

Above all, we are united by a shared purpose: creating spaces and delivering services that make a lasting, positive difference to the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As Practice Nurse, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients registered with our practice, supporting prevention, early intervention and the effective management of long-term conditions.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Long-Term Condition Management: Assessing, planning and reviewing individualised care for patients with long-term conditions, supporting ongoing monitoring and effective self-management.
  • Health Promotion & Prevention: Providing health education, lifestyle advice, screening and preventative interventions to help patients maintain and improve their health.
  • Vaccinations & Immunisations: Delivering adult and childhood vaccination and immunisation programmes, as well as travel health advice and vaccinations where appropriate.
  • Cervical Cytology & Women’s Health: Undertaking cervical cytology consultations in line with the national cervical screening programme and providing contraception and sexual health advice within your competencies.
  • Wound Care: Assessing and managing uncomplicated wounds using evidence-based practice.
  • Patient Assessment: Assessing and prioritising patients presenting with routine, urgent or emergency needs and responding appropriately within your scope of practice.
  • Safeguarding: Recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns involving children and vulnerable adults.
  • Quality & Governance: Maintaining accurate clinical records and contributing to QOF, enhanced services, clinical audit, incident reviews, peer review and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborative Working: Working closely with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team to provide safe, coordinated and patient-centred care.
Ready to Make a Difference?

If you're an experienced Practice Nurse looking for a varied role where you can deliver high-quality care and make a real difference for patients, we’d love to hear from you.

One Medical Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion and creating a supportive environment for all.
