Project Quality Manager
At Baker Hughes, you will ensure quality excellence across subsea projects and manage quality throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Review project technical and contractual requirements, perform gap analyses, and support quality activities during tendering and project initiation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project quality documentation, including Project Quality Plans, audit plans, non‑conformance processes, and inspection requirements.
- Act as the primary quality interface between customers, consortium partners, suppliers, project teams, and Centers of Excellence for all project quality matters.
- Support design verification, third‑party certification, inspection, testing, and compliance activities to ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are met.
- Drive resolution of customer complaints, non‑conformances, technical queries, and corrective actions through structured root cause analysis methodologies.
- Lead quality reviews, customer and supplier audits, risk assessments, lessons learned initiatives, and continuous improvement activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project quality performance, report key quality metrics, manage quality‑related risks, and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
- Support project handover and close‑out activities, including mechanical completion, documentation packages, customer acceptance, and transition to operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
- Significant experience in Project Quality Management, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering within the oil & gas, subsea, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, auditing, non‑conformance management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting large‑scale EPC, subsea, offshore, or complex engineering projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with supplier quality management, third‑party inspection activities, certification requirements, and customer quality expectations.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills with the ability to manage quality risks and drive corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across global teams.
