Food Runner | Barn

A lovingly restored Grade II listed Georgian manor house on a 500-acre estate in the Devon countryside, with uninterrupted views of the rolling hills and fields, acres of gardens, farmland and woodland, and walks to explore.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Food Runner to join our front-of-house team. As the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, you will ensure that every dish reaches the guest promptly, accurately, and beautifully presented. • Deliver dishes promptly from the kitchen to tables, keeping service smooth and efficient.
• Check every plate at the pass to ensure accuracy, presentation, and quality before delivery.
• Support servers by clearing and resetting tables so the dining room always feels welcoming.
• Act as a key link between the kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring clear communication during service.
• Refill water, respond to guest requests, and offer warm, attentive service
• Maintain clean and well-organised service areas

• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
• Positive attitude and professional appearance
• Have a genuine passion for food and beverage

• Your own transport is essential as we are not on any bus routes
• 7-14 hours per week – Saturday & Sundays 10am-5pm
• Up to £12.71 per hour (dependent on age and experience) with tips.
