Retail Merchandiser

Do you have what it takes to make the shelves irresistible to shoppers? Do you have a knack for spotting what looks good and creating eye-catching displays? Do you have an eye for detail? If so, at eXPD8 we looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in Morrisons Abergavenny in the NP7 5TP
area. You will be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands and may work across a variety of stores in the area.

You will be responsible for ensuring fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and shelves are well-stocked.

This role will work across a variety of categories including general merchandising such as books, gift cards, and cosmetics.

Monday: 08:00 - 10:30
Thursday: 08:00 - 10:30
Plus ad hoc work as interested and agreed!

• Compliance and Standards:
  Stick to merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures, and health & safety guidance.
• Follow and implement planograms to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
• Product Placement and Replenishment:
  Arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
• Promotional and Point of Sale Setup:
  Set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts, and special offers.
• Strong communication and relationship building:
  Build and maintain good working relationships with in‑store colleagues, especially department and store managers.
• Provide accurate and timely feedback to our client account teams via our feedback application as the eyes and ears in the stores.

• Experience or passion for merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thrive owning your work within set time frames, using initiative to find solutions.
• Take pride in delivering great standards and service for our clients.
• Be comfortable with manual handling – moving and arranging products from the warehouse to the shopfloor.
• Willing to accept home deliveries of point‑of‑sale or stock items for some visits (paid extra).
• Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos, and answer questions about tasks.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car is required.
