Role Overview

Trade Counter Assistant / Driver.

Hours:

22 per week, between 7am – 4:30pm Monday–Friday; 8am – 12pm Saturday rota. Salary: £29,080.48 per year (Pro‑Rata). Bonus/OTE:
Up to £32,680.48 per year. Benefits:

• Christmas shutdown period.

• Hands‑on, lead by example, work closely with the Branch Manager and Supervisor in day‑to‑day operations.
• Trade counter sales to achieve targets, communicating product knowledge to customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers.
• Pick, load and deliver products to customers via Eurocell’s 3.5 tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans.
• Plan routes, drive safely and keep company vehicle clean.
• Support the Branch Manager with actions and activities on time, in full.
• Compliance with Health & Safety, company policies and procedures.
• Ensure excellence in customer service, operational standards and branch sales targets are achieved.
• Deliver sales targets while developing and maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Assist with the delivery of branch operations.
• Provide support and assistance to branch colleagues as required.
• Maintain branch standards – warehouse and stock management, front‑of‑house cleanliness and point of sale.

• Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business targets.
• Hands‑on, customer‑focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and proactively engage with potential customers.
• Commercial approach to drive sales and maximise margins, ensuring customers leave happy.
• Good organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and use own initiative.
• Confident IT user, with experience of MS Office and industry‑standard software such as SAP.
• A full and valid driving licence is essential; an FLT licence could be an advantage.
• Previous branch stock‑take experience could be an advantage.
• Comfortable working in a small team and occasionally alone.
• Experience in a trade / builders merchant / retail, glazing or uPVC environment could be an advantage.
