This role requires travel and includes a fully expensed van, covering Aberdeen & Dundee.

• As a Fibre Quality Specialist, diagnose and resolve faults across the network from the Fibre Exchange to end-user premises.
• Manage and maintain network performance; utilise advanced diagnostic tools; diagnose signal loss and physical damage to minimise disruption and ensure optimal service.
• Manage complex installations and repairs, adhering to safety protocols and completing tasks promptly on the day of service.
• Adapt to evolving operational needs and diverse environments, including outdoor installations and network centres, with readiness to travel when required.

• Strong background in fibre, including knowledge of network build, FTTx installation, fibre blowing and fibre splicing.
• Core network fault-finding and problem-solving skills; experience auditing safe systems of works.
• Experience with OTDR/IOLM testing and knowledge of PIA – duct and/or pole installations; NRSWA – units 2 and 10; SA001 and SA002 Smart Awards.
• Driving licence valid in the UK.
