Your Specialist Role & Key Impact

As a Specialist One-to-One Study Skills Support Worker
, you will provide vital academic guidance and create individual learning plans tailored to student needs. Your primary goal is to foster independent learning by supporting students to:

  • Develop independence and build on their learning strengths.
  • Create essential strategies for organisation and time management.
  • Formulate action plans to successfully stay on track with studies.
  • Build on crucial research skills, including widening knowledge, distinguishing appropriate sources, and correctly using references.
  • Enhance reading and writing comprehension skills.

You are expected to act professionally, maintain confidentiality, and address any student concerns in a timely manner.

Mandatory Qualification Requirements

This is a specialist, Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) funded role. Candidates must adhere strictly to the qualification framework set out by the Department for Education (DfE).

Qualification:

An Undergraduate Degree (Level 6 minimum) along with relevant experience.
