The helicopter B2 Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of the helicopters. They work in a team of engineers and report to the Maintenance Lead.
Responsibilities- Comply with the requirements as described in the regulations.
- Ensure that all line maintenance tasks carried out on helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions.
- Work with Engineers to develop a variable and flexible work planning and roster based on business needs that supports and realizes business continuity.
- Complete all maintenance within the appropriate time scales to ensure a serviceable aircraft to meet operational needs.
- Conduct daily problem analysis and problem solving based on pilot and other relevant information.
- Provide briefing and debriefing for pilots and the Maintenance Lead.
- Perform preflight checks (PRF).
- Cooperate with NHV Supply Chain, Store and support services to ensure necessary maintenance material and spare parts are present on site at the planned moment: material in service car, consumables, limited service stock, work material, material needed for normal day‑to‑day line maintenance, exceptional material supplied for exceptional line maintenance or small repair tasks.
- Report daily on the maintenance situation to the Maintenance Lead.
- UK CAA Part 66 B2 License.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in aviation and as a licensed engineer (preferred).
- Engineering experience in different aviation companies is a plus.
- ICT literate (specific aviation software & MS Office).
- English (professional level).
- Familiar with and operates by the procedures and processes (operational, quality, safety, etc.) installed by the company.
- Strong communication skills: debriefing to pilots, flight crew and Maintenance Lead; handover of work from/two previous/next shift.
- Ability to work independently in a less controlled environment and take initiative to improve work and complete tasks within appropriate time scales.
