Qualifications and

Experience:

• Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Previous experience working in a school environment is highly valued
• Comfortable engaging with students from Pre K through Grade 12
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions for varying developmental stages and learning needs
• Passion for promoting student independence and participation in the school environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess students needs and craft individualized intervention plans
• Provide direct therapy to children in early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school settings
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student goals
• Document services and progress while maintaining compliance with educational and legal requirements
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as part of the special education team
• Educate families and staff on techniques to enhance development and classroom participation
• Adapt equipment or provide recommendations to improve students access to the curriculum and school activities
