As a Nursery Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals for our young children, encouraging healthy eating habits from an early age. Your role will involve maintaining strict Health and Safety standards throughout the food preparation process, ensuring that all meals are prepared in a safe and hygienic environment. Additionally, you will oversee the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring it meets the highest standards of sanitation.

Your attention to detail will be crucial in accommodating any special dietary or nutritional requirements of the children, ensuring their well‑being is prioritised in every meal.

• Preparing nutritious and appealing meals for young children.

• Maintaining strict Health and Safety standards during food preparation.

• Overseeing kitchen cleanliness and organisation.

• Accommodating special dietary or nutritional requirements.

• Thorough understanding of working with allergens within a catering environment.
• Experience with in a nursery, care home or similar settings.
• Ability to work within time scales and understand the importance of time management.
• Understanding of cross‑contamination and its adverse impact if not adhered to.

Base pay: £12.40 per hour. This range is provided by Thrive Childcare and Education. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Location:

Corner House Banchory. Maternity cover – envisaged to continue until at least August 2026.

Shifts:

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm (40 hrs/week). Seniority level:
