Job Summary

Senior Electrical Engineer – Liverpool

At AECOM we deliver projects that transform communities. This role involves leading the electrical discipline on building services projects, designing detailed solutions, and managing junior engineers. You will work with multidisciplinary teams on projects across the UK.

• Represent AECOM on MEP projects, leading your discipline and managing complementary engineering teams.
• Work independently with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of electrical design.
• Complete detailed designs, specifications, schedules, drawings and other contract documents through the RIBA stages.
• Attend project and client meetings on behalf of AECOM.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, pride in the work, and inspire confidence in team members.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers.
• Manage own time to meet project deadlines.
• Leverage digital and parametric design tools.

• Relevant experience in design and delivery of building services projects within a consultancy.
• Previous work within a similar consulting or related business.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
• Decision‑making and proactive operational ability.
• Experience from conceptual designs through to completion.
• Working knowledge of Revit/CAD.

• Qualified engineer with a proven track record in electrical engineering.
• Accomplished CIBSE/IET engineering council or equivalent honours degree (or HNC) with commitment to further education.
• Working towards or holding IEng/CEng status.
