We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of work across Scotland. Due to continued growth, they're looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, bridges, renewable energy and water infrastructure.

• Carry out accurate setting out using Total Stations, GPS and surveying equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Produce as-built surveys and maintain accurate site records.
• Ensure works are completed safely, accurately and in line with project specifications.
• Supervise subcontractors and provide technical support on site.
• Complete quality inspections and maintain QA documentation.
• Promote high standards of health & safety across all site activities.
• Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, clients and the wider project team.

To be successful, you'll have:

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer.
• A background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Experience using Leica, Trimble or Topcon surveying equipment.
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• A Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• A valid CSCS Card.
• A full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable qualifications include SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid, Temporary Works, CAT & Genny or NRSWA.
