Location: Banchory

As a Cook, you will play an important role in the day to day life of the service, preparing nutritious, well balanced meals that meet the needs and preferences of residents. You will work within a residential setting, supporting wellbeing through good food, routine and a welcoming dining experience.

This role involves working set shifts, including weekend working as part of a rota.

What Your Day Could Involve
  • Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious meals for residents and visitors
  • Planning menus that meet dietary, cultural and medical requirements
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and safety
  • Managing stock, ordering supplies and minimising waste
  • Working closely with care colleagues to support residents’ needs
  • Creating a warm and welcoming dining environment
About You

You will have previous catering experience and be confident preparing meals in a professional kitchen environment. You will hold an Elementary Food Handling Certificate, or be willing to undertake training to achieve this award if required. You will be organised, reliable and able to manage your workload effectively while working both independently and as part of a wider team.
