With the final term on the horizon, this is a great opportunity for us to showcase your abilities to local Primary schools. As on of our valued Teaching Assistants, you will play a key role in the maintenance and management of the classroom. You will have the opportunity to work closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis, as well as assist in a more general capacity.
We're looking for individuals with a variety of SEN experiences to join us in supporting the learners who need it the most. As well as being a patient and kind educator, Prospero are looking for those who are forward-thinking, proactive and co-operative in their approach.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of work:
Carry out professional duties, responsible for group support/1:1 support, ensure the safety and welfare of pupils, small group work, reading, forest school opportunities, support class teacher in delivering lessons
Start Date:
September 2025 - assignments on-going
Rate of pay :
Starting at £87.96 per day
Hours:
08:30 - 15:30
Desirable:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (not essential)
- Experience of working in Primary Schools
- Experience of inclusive classroom practice
- An understanding/awareness of supporting SEND requirements
- Previous experience of supporting learning using a range of strategies, both with groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Drives (not essential) able ot travel on public transport.
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold and enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
- Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
- In-house Training and Development Team
