Teacher Active is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Monmouthshire that is looking to appoint a full time Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one basis with a child with ALN. The school prides itself on its inclusive environment and strong community ethos, ensuring every child is supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

The school is looking to recruit a full-time Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant from September 2026. The successful Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will support class teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons, provide classroom support for pupils across the Primary phase and help create a positive and nurturing learning environment where the Welsh language is actively promoted.

The successful Fluent Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistant will have:

• Fluent spoken Welsh
• UK classroom experience within a Primary School
• Experience supporting children within a classroom setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A positive, reliable and proactive approach to supporting learning
