The post will be based at a retirement complex for older adults who live independently. We are looking for someone with a friendly and happy demeanor to be the first point of contact for the residents of the service.
Hours; 16 per week over 3 or 4 days which can be flexible.
Duration – 3-4 months initially with the option to apply on a permanent basis leading to 20-24 hours per week.
Salary- £15.49ph PAYE plus holiday pay
Main duties
* Speaking with the residents daily
* Signposting information on other services, in and around the area.
* Checking the property for any repairs and reporting these as required,
* Involving the residents in activities within the service
* Liaising with contractors
The ideal candidate will have good PC skills, be approachable and have good organisation skills.
Experience with in housing woukd be great however we welcome applications from people with tranferable skills. Full training will be provided and there will be a buddy manager to work with from a neighbouring scheme.
An enhanced DBS will be required.
