Sous Chef Luxury Wedding & Events Venue

Abergavenny, Monmouthshire £42,000 per annum + bonus (up to 15%) Full-time

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen leadership team at Sant Ffraed House, a luxury wedding and events venue set within a Grade II listed manor and contemporary event space.

This is a senior kitchen role with real responsibility. You’ll support the Head Chef in leading a high-performing brigade, take charge of service in their absence, and uphold consistently high standards across a busy, events-led operation.

This role is suited to an established Sous Chef or Senior CDP who thrives in structured environments, leads confidently under pressure, and takes pride in delivering high-quality food at volume.

• Lead the kitchen during prep and service, including full responsibility when covering the Head Chef
• Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation across weddings and events
• Coach and develop junior chefs
• Uphold food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
• Support stock control, waste reduction and GP performance
• Contribute to menu development and continuous improvement

• 5+ years experience in a professional kitchen
• Experience at Senior CDP, Sous Chef or Head Chef level
