Pertemps Gloucester (Chiltern) Industrial seeks a CLASS 1 DRIVER for full-time, ongoing work based in Abergavenny. The position pays between £17.00 and £19.05 per hour, with shifts running Monday to Friday and start times between 05:00 and 07:00. You will operate flatbed trailers, performing scheduled deliveries and collections while securing cargo with straps. Daily vehicle inspections, precise paperwork, and defect reporting form part of the role.

• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles on scheduled deliveries and collections
• Operating flatbed trailers safely and efficiently
• Strapping and unstrapping loads to ensure safe transportation
• Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Providing a professional service to customers at delivery locations
• Ensuring compliance with all Driver Hours and Road Transport regulations

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class
  1) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 Months HGV Class 1 Driving Experience
• Previous flatbed experience desirable
• Confident strapping and securing loads
• Good understanding of Driver Hours regulations
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
• Excellent time management skills
