At Cartrefi Conwy, we believe everyone deserves a safe home and the support they need to thrive. We’re looking for a caring and knowledgeable Money Support Advisor to join our Income Management Team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a rewarding role where you’ll help tenants access the benefits and financial support they’re entitled to, improve their financial wellbeing, and find practical solutions during challenging times. Every day brings the opportunity to make a positive difference to someone’s life.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll provide specialist welfare benefits advice and support to tenants, helping them maximise their income and navigate an often complex benefits system. You’ll work with people from all walks of life, including families, older people, young people and vulnerable tenants.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting tenants with benefit claims and welfare advice.
  • Helping people understand Universal Credit and other benefits.
  • Completing financial assessments and providing money management guidance.
  • Working closely with colleagues and external partners to secure the best outcomes for tenants.
  • Keeping up to date with welfare reform and benefit legislation.
  • Supporting appeals and representing tenants where appropriate.
  • Monitoring outcomes and using data to help improve services.
  • Building strong relationships with organisations that support financial inclusion and wellbeing.
Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping people and has experience providing welfare benefits advice.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience of advising on welfare benefits and supporting people through claims.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits legislation and entitlement criteria.
  • Experience of maximising income for clients.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A compassionate and customer-focused approach.
Living our Cartrefi Commitments

At Cartrefi Conwy, our commitments shape everything we do.

  • Do the right thing - You’ll always put tenants first, providing honest, professional advice and supporting people to access the help they need.
  • Lead by example - You’ll take ownership, look for solutions, share your knowledge with colleagues and help improve services for our tenants.
  • Stronger together - You’ll work closely with colleagues, partners and communities, building relationships that help us achieve better outcomes for the people we support.
Why join Cartrefi Conwy?

When you join us, you’re joining an organisation that genuinely cares about people. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to make a difference every day.

This is an opportunity to use your skills and experience to improve lives, support communities and help tenants achieve greater financial security.
