Cover Supervisor – Secondary Education

Salary: £110 per day

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a leading specialist provider Blaenau Gwent. This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience within secondary education, supervising pupils across Years 7, 8, and 9, as well as GCSE classes. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting young learners and making a positive impact on their educational journey.

• Supervise and manage classroom activities for secondary school pupils in Pontypridd.
• Support pupils’ learning and behaviour in a variety of classroom settings.
• Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities.
• Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all students.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.
• Support pupils with special educational needs where required.
• Maintain pupil safety and well-being at all times.

• Experience (paid or voluntary) working with children or in the care sector.
• A keen interest in working with young people.
• Open to training and development opportunities.
• Proactive work ethic and a positive attitude.
• Good understanding of special educational needs.
• Ability to provide a range of support to pupils.
• Patient, understanding, and able to work as part of a team.
