We are recruiting for a Head of Legal Administration to join our team, based at any of our offices across Wales and Herefordshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced team leader to join an established Legal Admin team.

Agri Advisor would be particularly interested to hear from individuals who have experience in Legal Administration.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Reporting to Resources Manager.
  • Being the Line manager to all Legal Admin Team members.
  • Ensuring admin cover in all offices which provides high quality service to clients and visitors during office opening hours.
  • Ensuring all team members are sufficiently trained to standard of their individual role within the business.
  • Undertaking regular – ideally at least monthly – catch up meetings with all team members.
  • Attending regular review meetings with the Resources Manager to review progress and agree next steps.
  • Ensuring that all admin support requirements from fee earners are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • Undertaking annual appraisals of legal admin team members – with support from HR.
  • Planning an annual admin development day – utilising resources across the firm.
  • Being a positive leader to others within the business and support staff retention and recruitment.
  • Creating, working towards and developing the admin team work plan.
  • Having effective day to day decision making responsibility in relation to legal admin function where necessary.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Be innovative and forward thinking.
  • Excellent organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and administrative software/tools.

In addition to your primary duties, you may be required to undertake additional or different duties, which, from time to time, are considered necessary, and consistent with your role in the company and in support of other members of the core administrative team.

Salary will be dependent on experience.

As several of our staff and clients are Welsh speaking, the ability to converse and write in Welsh would be advantageous.
