Teacher; KS2 – St Padarn RC Primary School

St Padarn’s RC Primary School, a Catholic primary school in the heart of Aberystwyth, is hiring a dedicated teacher to support its diverse educational programme.

As part of the school’s distinctive Catholic ethos, the successful candidate will contribute to the moral values foundation, deliver the approved Religious Education scheme, and support the “Life to the Full” and “Fertile Heart” RSE programmes.

• Teach Key Stage 2 mathematics or science, leading the area of learning and experience (AoLE) for the selected subject.
• Lead a school initiative and contribute to whole‑school improvement.
• Deliver the Diocese‑approved RE scheme “To see me more clearly” and the prayer and liturgy programme “To love you more dearly.”
• Support the RSE programmes “Life to the Full” and “Fertile Heart”.
• Use incidental Welsh with adults and children, and where possible teach Welsh as a second language.
• Employ strong IT skills and secure knowledge of the DCF framework to support pupils’ learning.
• Engage in extra‑curricular activities and work collaboratively with the team.

• Essential: experience teaching Key Stage 2 and a firm working knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales.
• Desirable: experience of the Diocese‑approved RE and RSE programmes, confidence in using Welsh as a second language, strong IT competence, and knowledge of the DCF framework.
• Good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work within a team.
