Position: Teacher (KS2)

About the School

St Padarn's RC Primary School, a Catholic primary school in the heart of Aberystwyth, offers a supportive and enthusiastic environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Teach the Diocesan approved RE scheme "To see me more clearly" and RSE programmes "Life to the Full" and "Fertile Heart".
  • Introduce the prayer and liturgy programme "To love you more dearly".
  • Lead an Area of Learning and Experience (AoLE) – Maths or Science – across the school.
  • Lead or contribute to school initiatives and whole‑school improvement.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to deliver high quality teaching and learning.
  • Support extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 2.
  • Firm working knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales.
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Knowledge of the DCF framework.
  • Good knowledge of Welsh as a second language and confidence in using incidental Welsh with adults and children.
Safeguarding and DBS

All staff must hold an Enhanced DBS check. Previous convictions will not automatically exclude a candidate; each case is assessed individually in relation to the role responsibilities.
