Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? Ysgol Gynradd Gymunedol Tal-y-bont is seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join the team as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom and beyond.
These are fixed-term appointments until 19 March 2027 and 31 August 2027, in the first instance.
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:- Provide support to pupils, including those with additional needs, helping them access learning and build confidence.
- Work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
- Support the development of Individual Education and Behaviour Plans.
- Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and wider school activities.
- Is fluent in both Welsh and English.
- Has experience of working with or caring for children.
- Holds relevant qualifications (NVQ 3 or equivalent) and good literacy/numeracy skills.
- Can use ICT effectively to support learning.
- Is positive, flexible, and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Understands the importance of safeguarding, inclusion, and teamwork.
