Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Team Leader to oversee our finance department within the accountancy sector. This permanent, full-time role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, as well as leading a team of finance professionals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial regulations, contributing to the overall success and compliance of our organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring effective performance and professional development.
  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial performance, providing strategic insights to senior management.
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices, ensuring the team adheres to compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a finance role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
