Band 6 Biomedical Scientist within the Haematology Team in Aberystwyth, earning £30.00 per hour. This exciting ongoing locum opportunity with Hywel Dda Health Board offers full-time hours and the chance to work across Haematology, Coagulation, and Blood Transfusion services. - Diagnostic Testing: Perform routine and specialist laboratory investigations within Haematology, Coagulation, and Blood Transfusion departments.
- Equipment Operation: Operate Siemens Advia analysers in Haematology, Werfen TOP analysers in Coagulation, and Ortho Swift systems in Blood Transfusion.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all testing is performed in accordance with laboratory protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Result Analysis: Produce accurate and reliable diagnostic results to support effective patient care and clinical decision-making.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and quality control procedures on laboratory equipment.
- Laboratory Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, infection prevention protocols, and laboratory best practice standards.
- Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with Biomedical Scientists, Pathologists, Clinicians, and wider healthcare teams to deliver an efficient diagnostic service. - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate labor
