Step into a key leadership role with Village Manor as the Director of Nursing, supporting exceptional long-term and skilled nursing care in Abilene, Kansas.
The Position- The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Nursing Services Department in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reporting to the Executive Director of Long-Term Care, this leader will oversee two direct reports and approximately 48 FTEs.
- The Director of Nursing oversees the implementation of resident care policies, coordinates with the interdisciplinary team, and maintains accountability for the quality of care provided by the facility’s nursing staff. Tasked with recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Other duties include maintaining day‑to‑day operations of the department, responding to patient and family concerns, and overseeing staff scheduling.
- Seeking a skilled and highly knowledgeable leader in the field of Long‑Term Care/Skilled Nursing. The ideal candidate will be an approachable and transparent leader who is also capable of holding staff accountable. They should be a go‑getter with strong energy and a genuine passion for their work.
- BSN required.
- An active Kansas RN license required.
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience and at least two years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, with direct oversight in a long‑term care or skilled nursing facility, is strongly preferred.
