As a Maintenance Automation Supervisor
, you will be working hands on and taking the lead in maintaining and enhancing our facility’s electrical and automation networks. You will be responsible for overseeing the performance, testing, repair, and optimization of critical control systems that drive our manufacturing operations. Your hands-on expertise and leadership will ensure these systems operate reliably, efficiently, and safely to support production goals.
- Manage and schedule the Controls team, allocate resources, and monitor performance.
- Communicate department performance and operational issues to upper management.
- Coordinate with other supervisors to align departmental activities and meet production goals.
- Oversee installation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and tuning of control devices.
- Direct and assist in diagnosing malfunctions in electrical and automation systems.
- Ensure reliable operation of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation networks.
- Enforce OSHA, NFPA, and company safety regulations.
- Maintain compliance with GMP and FSQA programs to uphold food safety standards.
- Promptly report and address any food safety hazards or process deviations.
- Develop and deliver training on control system functionality and process operations.
- Optimize team performance by leveraging skills and minimizing mechanical downtime.

Do you have what it takes? Basic Qualifications- High School diploma or GED, plus Trade School Certification.
- 4+ years of experience within the automation industry and 3+ years in a leadership role (including experience with PLCs, controls or automation, troubleshooting voltages up to 480 volts—preferably in a manufacturing environment).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation.
- Ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend and lift overhead.
- Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
- Visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect warning devices/signs.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to work in awkward positions (under equipment, inside equipment and on ladders), and various temperature extremes.
- Hands on experience in electrical, electronic, plumbing, hydraulic, refrigeration, HVAC and pneumatic systems.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Engineering, or Electrical license.
- Basic working knowledge of personal computers and MS Office software.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees within a Multi Trade team-oriented environment.
- Flexible to work scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
