The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Nursing Service Department in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role ensures the highest level of resident care, working under the direction of the Administrator/Executive Director and the Medical Director. The Director of Nursing oversees the implementation of resident care policies, coordinates with the interdisciplinary team, and maintains accountability for the quality of care provided by the facility’s nursing staff.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
3 years nursing experience required
1-2 years supervisory experience preferred
Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility strongly preferred
Required Registration/License/Certification
Current, unencumbered Kansas Registered Nurse licensure
Basic Life Support certification will be accepted from either American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Health Care Provider, or Basic Life Support (American Heart Association-Health Care Provider), or successfully completes within the first 90 days of employment.
Schedule-Shift-Hours Full Time - Day Shift - M-F 8-5
