V-Bar Equipment Company is seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead our accounting team and help drive the next phase of company growth. This is an opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who wants to make a significant impact in a growing equipment dealership and rental company.

As Controller, you will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, payroll, financial reporting, credit management, fixed assets, and internal controls while serving as a trusted financial partner to branch managers and company leadership. You will supervise a team of two accounting professionals and regularly interact with operations across multiple locations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic leadership and rolling up their sleeves. One day you may be presenting financial results to leadership, and the next you may be conducting inventory reviews, improving processes, or helping implement a new business system.

• Produce accurate monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Manage payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets.
• Lead and develop a two‑person accounting team.
• Oversee customer credit and collections.
• Support branch managers with financial analysis, process improvement, and accountability.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
• Assist with inventory management and asset tracking.
• Help lead the implementation of a new ERP/business management system.
• Support HR administration and company policies.
• Travel periodically between branch locations.

• 3-5 years of experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Strong financial statement preparation and accounting experience.
• Experience with financial metrics, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.
• Knowledge of credit management, fixed assets, and inventory‑intensive businesses.
• Payroll administration experience.
• Proven supervisory experience.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• HR experience preferred.
• IT systems or technology background a plus.
• Equipment dealership, rental, construction, or industrial industry experience preferred.

Over the next 3-5 years, this individual will play a key role in helping V-Bar:

• Grow from approximately $10 million to more than $20 million in annual revenue.
• Transition from internally prepared financial statements to audited financial statements.
• Implement a modern business management platform.
• Build a scalable financial and operational infrastructure.
