Case Manager

Overview

Texas Family Initiative is hiring a full‑time Permanency Case Manager to work with our community’s most vulnerable children and families. The role is based in Abilene, TX.

• Support families in foster care, aiming to achieve permanency for children in the Managing Conservatorship of DFPS.
• Collaborate with biological parents, helping them access services to reunify with their children.
• When reunification isn’t possible, work to find a safe, permanent family‑like setting for the children.
• Conduct home visits, attend court hearings, and work with community stakeholders, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), and other partners to build lasting partnerships.

• Accredited Bachelor’s Degree

• Valid driver’s license.
• Empathetic, eager to learn, and passionate about helping families succeed during times of crisis.
• Strong advocacy skills and ability to support parents, caregivers, and children in foster care.

Average hourly rate: $27.41 (including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, shift differential, etc.).
