General Laborer - Primoris Heavy Civil - Abilene, TX

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking General Laborers to support various construction projects in Abilene, TX. This role involves performing a variety of physical tasks to assist skilled trades and ensure efficient site operations.

• Perform manual labor duties such as digging, lifting, carrying materials, and clearing debris.
• Assist skilled craft workers (e.g., pipe layers, concrete finishers, equipment operators) as needed.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
• Clean and prepare construction sites, including sweeping, raking, and removing hazards.
• Operate small hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a construction or physically demanding environment is a plus.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Abilene, TX area.

Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Heavy Civil is comprised of six operating units that include North Louisiana Operations, South Louisiana Operations, Texas Operations, HMA Paving Operations, Concrete Paving Operations, and the Infrastructure Rehabilitation Unit.
