Trauma and Critical Care Surgeon (General Surgery)
Location: Abilene, Texas

She Recruits is excited to present an outstanding opportunity for a board-certified Trauma and Critical Care Surgeon to join a collaborative healthcare team in Abilene, TX. This role offers a balanced schedule, excellent compensation, and a supportive work environment dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Position Highlights:

• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off 24-hour shifts

• Compensation: Competitive

• Call Structure:

  • 2-surgeon model with advanced practice clinician (APC) support

  • 12 hours of primary in-house call, followed by 12 hours of backup call (not required to stay on-site during backup)

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Moderate trauma volume with a wide variety of cases

• Evaluation and management of all trauma and emergency general surgery consults

• Outpatient follow-up care in clinic

• Rounding on in-house patients

Qualifications:

• Fellowship trained in Surgical Critical Care or Trauma

• MD or DO, Board Certified in General Surgery

• Willing to obtain a Texas medical license if not already held
