The Non-Invasive Cardiologist provides comprehensive cardiovascular care through the evaluation, diagnosis, and medical management of patients with heart and vascular conditions. This role focuses on non-invasive diagnostic testing, preventive cardiology, and evidence-based treatment, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and manage patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions
Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac diagnostic studies, including echocardiography, stress testing, ambulatory monitoring, and cardiac imaging as applicable
Diagnose and manage coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular disease, hypertension, and lipid disorders
Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
Participate in preventive cardiology and risk-reduction initiatives
Collaborate with interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, and primary care teams
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives
Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship
Board-eligible or board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease
Ability to obtain and maintain unrestricted state medical licensure
DEA registration or eligibility
Expertise in non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostics and medical management
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team
Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care
Inpatient hospital settings, outpatient cardiology clinics, and diagnostic testing facilities
Call coverage as determined by practice or service needs
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
Manual dexterity for diagnostic testing and clinical procedures
Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for patient assessment and interpretation of diagnostic studies
