GOAL:
Increase the number of districts with Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) systems. Increase the number of teachers eligible for TIA within local systems. Assist districts in increasing success rates with TIA implementation and validation. Assist districts in increasing the retention of TIA Designated teachers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree preferred
Texas teacher certification with five years successful teaching experience
Experience with the use of PK - 12 student assessments in measuring student growth as part of TIA systems preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in providing customer service
Skilled in using technology to meet job requirements
Self-starter with the ability to make decisions and assist in creating a plan of action for implementing program goals
MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES:
Program Planning/Organizational Skills
Assist districts with the following:
Developing and applying for a local designation system that measures student growth, aligns to evidence-based practices, and supports the expansion of local designation systems to all eligible teachers
Implementing districts' local designation systems by providing high-quality technical assistance
Setting up documents for data collection
Provide support to districts with appraisal data
Conduct T-TESS Calibration and Domains 2 and 3 Descriptor Digs
Fiscal Management
Provide recommendations for budget preparation as requested by the Director
Maintain documentation to support funds use and demonstrate compliance with grant parameters as authorized by the Director.
Utilize cost-effective methods of reaching identified objectives.
Leadership
Demonstrate leadership in the development of innovative practices to improve teaching and learning.
Model initiative and resourcefulness in interactions with district personnel and ESC staff.
Communications Skills
Use established communication channels to update districts and ESC personnel about project opportunities and objectives.
Conduct outreach and raise awareness about the Teacher Incentive Allotment.
Effectively communicate ideas and information to groups or individuals.
Consultative and Technical Assistance
Demonstrate accessibility by visiting campuses regularly.
Provide support to district and campus administrators to facilitate decision-making processes.
Human Relations
Demonstrate professional courtesy during personal interaction with district personnel and ESC Staff.
Display an attitude of personal and professional concern in group and individual settings.
Demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with other staff members.
Specialized Knowledge
Seek training and provide up-to-date information for improving teaching and learning.
Personal and Professional Image
Maintain self-control and good working relations with other ESC staff and district personnel when facing problems and frustrations.
Exhibit enthusiasm, self-motivation, and professional appearance while fulfilling job assignment requirements.
Adhere to work schedules and attendance policies
