Loraine ISD is a small 1-A, close-knit district in Loraine, Texas, serving 135 students from Pre-K through 12th grade with a dedicated team of 38 staff members. The district is committed to providing a high-quality, student-centered education in a safe and supportive environment. CandidateProfile
Loraine ISD is searching for a superintendent with the following qualifications:
- A valid Texas Superintendent Certification
- At least five years’ classroom teaching experience and principal and/or central office experience preferred.
- Experience in a rural, small, or mid-size district is preferred.
- A belief in high standards and holding everyone equally accountable in reaching those goals.
- Demonstrated strong skills in educational leadership in respect to uniting staff, parents, and community in the pursuit of student achievement and positive district culture.
- A strong background in student performance success, educational technology and vocational programs.
- Experience working with all students.
- Integrity and exemplary moral character along with excellent people skills who leads by example. Visible throughout the community, district, and on campuses.
- A strong desire to be part of the community and the willingness to be present at extra-curricular and community events. In-district housing is provided.
- The desire and ability to work with others and willingness to develop leaders, and promote the best staff possible, regardless of whether they are local or from outside the community.
- Open communication with the Board, the administration, faculty, staff, and the community.
