Essential Functions- Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
- Knowledge and understanding of the basic admissions process to support all students for entry to programs within Student Learning. Assist in the preparation and advisement of student success, new and returning.
- Assist with program inquiries by phone, email and/or campus visit while providing exemplary customer service. Verifies application packets (when applicable) are complete and coordinates information sessions within Student Learning.
- Provide consistent and important information to improve student and program success outcomes.
- Maintain accounting and administrative records within Student Learning.
- Assists in orientation and training of personnel on various computer and Social Media applications within Student Learning.
- Evaluate test scores and transcripts for the associate degree and articulation agreements.
- Work collaboratively with the Executive Director for Advisement & Testing, VP of Enrollment Services, Enrollment Services, and Student Development.
- Provide reports:
Retention, persistence, marketing, recruiting, dual enrollment, PBE tracking, and placement (list is not mutually exclusive). - Other duties as assigned.
- Graduation from High School or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in higher education, advisement, testing or related field. Previous student tracking and reporting experience.
- Possess technology skills, including but not limited to using Microsoft Office products.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Exhibit effective communication skills and ability to interact effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with college faculty and staff, administration, and students.
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license and be insurable by the State of Texas.
- Appropriate background check.
- This job description covers a position in which the percentage of time spent on the essential functions will vary based on the workload and will ultimately be determined by the supervisor.
