Career Advisor I – Abilene, TX

Join the C2 Global Professional Services, LLC as a Career Advisor I in Abilene, TX. A pivotal role providing career counseling and coaching to help job seekers enhance training and professional skillsets to obtain employment in their desired field.

Essential Functions
  • Provide comprehensive career assessments (for both professional‑level customers and individuals with significant barriers to employment) to determine occupational interests and aptitude.
  • Identify training and development needs, current vocational skill level, employment history, interests, and abilities to assist job seekers in understanding career options aligned with their long‑term goals.
  • Recommend workforce programs and services at local, state, and federal levels; conduct intake and complete program eligibility for grant‑funded programs.
  • Guide job seekers through career development and exploration, using tools such as aptitude assessments, interview techniques and resume writing.
  • Provide labor market information on opportunities, qualifications, and expected pay across industries to help customers develop actionable goals.
  • Educate participants on job search skills and industry trends; assist with resume development, mock interviews, and job search strategies.
  • Provide information on training opportunities and educational/training vendors, as well as financial aid and scholarships; refer participants to occupational skills training, work‑based training, and apprenticeship programs.
  • Prepare and submit Individual Training Account (ITA), work‑based training requests, and supportive service requests in a timely manner.
  • Continuously evaluate customers’ needs and make referrals to internal or external support services.
  • Maintain continuous contact with clients to provide ongoing career services and monitor progress toward goals.
  • Develop constructive relationships with internal team members, the public, and external partners.
  • Partner with the business solutions unit within career centers to identify employment opportunities for participants.
  • Proactively screen and refer participants to suitable job opportunities with a focus on training‑related development.
  • Seek ways to improve workforce services to meet labor market needs.
  • Manage customer information and enter required data into the management information system(s) promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and fulfill responsibilities as required.
  • Ensure case files meet or exceed all local, state, and federal quality assurance requirements.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Lifting to 10 pounds occasionally; requires standing, sitting, bending, walking. Visual acuity, speech, and hearing needed. Primarily an office environment; occasional driving and travel may be required. Flexible hours and reasonable accommodations available to support employees with disabilities.
