After School Group Leader

We are seeking ministry-minded individuals to be on our After School team. The After School Group Leader’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. The position is non‑exempt, part‑time, averaging 17–20 hours per week.

Mentoring Alliance After School is a Christian ministry dedicated to serving kids and families by offering after school care and activities. Our team members must have a desire to influence, impact, and serve the kids and families in our community. The role is integral to our mission.

Responsibilities
  • Lead elementary students in enrichment activities and foster their development.
  • Ensure a safe and welcoming environment during Monday‑Friday 2:00 p.m.‑6:00 p.m. sessions.
  • Collaborate with other staff members and adhere to Ministry and program policies.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and activity logs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
  • Must be at least 17 years of age;
    High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred and some post‑secondary training highly preferred.
  • Have a passion and love for working with elementary school‑aged children.
  • Experience working with elementary school‑aged children is preferred.
  • Ability to work Monday‑Friday 2:00 p.m.‑6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
  • Must earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).
  • Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check.
  • Valid driver’s license or Valid .
  • Legally allowed to work in the United States.
  • Have dependable transportation.
  • Spanish‑speaking ability greatly valued.
