The Operations Training Lead serves as a subject matter expert responsible for developing and delivering innovative nuclear power plant training programs to operations personnel and other facility staff for the ACU Molten Salt Research Reactor and other plant designs being developed. This position combines advanced technical expertise with instructional leadership to ensure training excellence that directly supports safe, reliable plant operations for the nation’s first liquid‑fueled molten salt reactor.
The Operations Training Lead will coordinate the efforts of other operations staff in the development and delivery of initial operator training and development of continuing training programs. The Operations Training Lead will report to the Director of Reactor Operations and play a pivotal role in supporting Natura’s mission to deliver innovative nuclear solutions.

The Natura Resources team is seeking a highly experienced Operations Training Lead to guide a multi‑disciplinary team in developing and maintaining an operations training program for our liquid‑fueled molten salt reactor technology. This role will drive operational excellence, ensure nuclear safety, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and regulatory compliance, aligning with Natura’s mission to advance cutting‑edge reactor technology. This Operations Training Lead will also participate in a variety of engineering and licensing discussions as needed, while dedicating the majority of their efforts to operations training related responsibilities.

remote employment is a possibility, but in-person presence is preferred.

I. Basic Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the operator training program for MSR‑1 and MSR‑100 customers, ensuring compliance with nuclear regulatory standards and consistent with the principles of the Systems Approach to Training of 10 CFR 55.4.
- Participate in the delivery of training to the initial license class at the ACU Molten Salt Research Reactor (MSRR), including administration of written and oral examinations. Interact as needed with staff at U.S. Department of Energy and Nuclear Regulatory Commission to develop the pathway for licensing the initial class of operators for the MSRR.
- Guide the efforts of a team of internal resources, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development. Provides direction to less experienced instructors and function as training program lead.
- As needed, contribute to the other Natura teams in the development of MSR‑1 and MSR‑100 systems, leveraging technical expertise in engineering, licensing, security, and emergency planning.
- Coordinate with engineering and fabrication partners to review technical documents, including procedures, training materials, and system specifications.
