Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Transmission Line Engineer with an active Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead the design and analysis of high-voltage transmission line projects across the United States. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge in line design, structures, and electrical performance, as well as the ability to review, sign, and seal engineering documents in accordance with U.S. regulations.

Strong communication skills in advanced English are required for effective collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the detailed design and engineering of overhead and underground transmission lines ranging from 69 kV to 500 kV.
  • Perform line routing, structure design, conductor selection, and insulation coordination in compliance with applicable standards (NESC, IEEE, ASCE).
  • Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and reports under PE authority.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical analyses, including loading, galloping, and clearance studies using industry-standard tools.
  • Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical teams to deliver integrated transmission solutions.
  • Prepare technical specifications, bill of materials, and cost estimates.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
  • Support construction teams with technical expertise during installation, inspection, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state (multi-state registration preferred).
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in transmission line design and project execution.
  • Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and other line design software tools.
  • Strong knowledge of NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and relevant utility standards.
  • Advanced level of English (spoken and written).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with U.S. utilities, EPC firms, or large-scale transmission projects.
  • Familiarity with permitting and environmental requirements for transmission line routing.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies in composite structures and advanced conductor systems.
