• Perform diagnostic cardiovascular procedures under the guidance and oversight of Department Manager and designated staff members; study didactic materials independently.
• Must be highly self‑motivated to learn. Prior to sitting for registry exams, will independently perform examinations per physician orders and according to department protocols, generate preliminary reports for physician interpretation, and review physician reports. Chart and charge procedures electronically.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care; interact with patients and significant others while maintaining professional standards.
• Interact with cardiologists, referring physicians, team leaders, and managers to discuss significant findings, clinical situations, workflow status, and equipment malfunctions per departmental policies.
• Exhibit sound critical‑thinking skills; work under direct supervision until deemed competent in a specific procedure; maintain outstanding work ethics, integrity, and adhere to the Principles of Performance.

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma

  1 year patient care experience or training in related field.

• EKG Hospital‑based training program upon completion of Orientation
• BLS within 1 month of hire
• Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Hands‑on training and coaching will be available.
  • Didactic education requires self‑study.
  • Master use of all applicable equipment.
  • Maintain equipment and testing rooms.
  • Multiple computer programs will be used daily.
  • Interact with patients, customers, co‑workers, and physicians.
  • Attend all required training programs and complete computer‑based learning lessons.
  • Strong motivation and excellent self‑learning skills are required for this position.
