  • Oversee operations of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practices to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective practices meeting staff, provider, and patient needs
  • Coordinate with providers and implement action plans to ensure practice success
Job Summary

Director of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine oversees operations of Hendrick Clinic of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practices to ensure practices operate in safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner that meets needs of staff, providers, and patients. Coordinates with providers and implements action plans to ensure the practice is successful.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Education – Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum Work Experience – 5 years healthcare management experience
  • Required Licenses/Certifications – Certified Medical Practice Executive preferred
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
    • Ability to carry out obligations and duties of position
    • Deals effectively with community/consumers
    • Deals effectively with hospital, clinic, and system personnel
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
    • Demonstrated understanding of management issues
    • Effectively directs and/or supervises personnel as appropriate
    • Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
    • Experience in healthcare administration and how it relates to medical practice administration
    • Ability to maintain professional appearance and decorum
    • Proven managerial and team-building skills
    • Ability to handle confidential information
    • Ability to utilize extreme diplomacy and tact
    • Strong negotiation skills
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to physician practices, hospital services, and related Medical Staff requirements
    • Knowledge of legal and compliance matters related to physician practices, hospital services, and related Medical Staff requirements
    • Knowledge of other office machine and administrative skills
