Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic cardiovascular procedures under the guidance and oversight of Department Manager and designated staff members.
  • Study didactic materials independently.
  • Prior to sitting for registry exams, independently perform examinations per physician orders and according to department protocols, generate preliminary reports for physician interpretation, and review physician reports.
  • Chart and charge procedures electronically.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining professional standards.
  • Interact with Cardiologists and referring physicians according to applicable departmental policies regarding critical findings.
  • Interact with team leaders and managers to discuss significant findings, clinical situations, workflow status, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Exhibit sound critical thinking skills.
  • Work under direct supervision until deemed competent in a specific procedure.
  • Have outstanding work ethics and integrity.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year patient care experience or training in a related field
  • Required Licenses/Certifications
  • EKG Hospital-based training program upon completion of Orientation
  • BLS within 1 month of hire
  • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Hands‑on training and coaching will be available
  • Didactic education requires self‑study
  • Master use of all applicable equipment
  • Maintain equipment and testing rooms
  • Multiple computer programs will be used daily
  • Interact with patients and customers as well as co‑workers and physicians
  • Attend all required training programs and complete computer‑based learning lessons
  • Strong motivation and excellent self‑learning skills are required for this position
