Summary
The Certified Pharmacy Technician first and foremost is responsible for guest satisfaction and is responsible to the company for the efficient, safe, and effective operation of the Pharmacy under direct supervision of a pharmacist at multiple pharmacy locations throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities- When a guest enters the area, acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest.
- Build a reputation for ultimate guest service.
- Handle prescriptions, including counting, labeling, reconstituting, inventory management, and medication therapy management as allowed by state law.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling patient records.
- Maintain guest charge and delivery records.
- Mail out prescriptions.
- Handle phone calls to and from provider offices and guests within scope of practice/license.
- Operate a personal vehicle in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain an accurate transportation log.
- Travel to assigned locations within the designated region/area to perform job duties.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and regulatory requirements while traveling.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma, equivalent diploma (e.g., GED), or working to achieve a high school diploma or equivalent for no more than two years.
- Active and in good standing pharmacy technician license issued by the Board of Pharmacy of the state(s) in which you are practicing.
- Maintain required continuing education and renew license as required by State Board.
- Detail-oriented and reliable.
- Reliable personal vehicle and ability to travel extensively within the designated region/area.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required.
- Retail pharmacy experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of pharmacy-related law.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, such as bending, standing, squatting, climbing, and walking for 8-12 hour periods.
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude.
