Overview
This is a 24/7/365 position on‑site in Abilene, Texas, that includes day, night, weekend and holiday work with occasional travel based on business requirements.
Responsibilities- Work on a rotating shift schedule of 8‑12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically install network racks, mount servers, connect all Ethernet and power cables, and neatly route/ tie cables to the rack according to the provided schematics and plans.
- Install, remove, and troubleshoot network hardware in data center racks without disturbing other hardware or critical infrastructure.
- Maintain asset inventory and update the internal application as needed.
- 6+ years of experience in data center networking.
- Experience in data center infrastructure projects.
- 5+ years of experience in structured cabling (copper/fiber) and cable testing.
- Strong knowledge of data center networking and structured cabling best practices.
- Physical ability to install and manage server racks.
